Study Method of Pitch-Angle Control on Load and the Performance of a Floating Offshore Wind Turbine by Experiments

Offshore wind energy is a renewable source that developing fast. It considered to be the most promising in next decade. Besides, expanding trend for this technology requires consideration of diversified seabeds. In deep seabeds, floating offshore (FOWT) needed. For latter technology, such as conventional WT, we need consider aspects related performance, aerodynamic force, and forces during operation. paper, two-bladed downwind turbine model utilized conduct experiments. The collective pitch cyclic angle are adjusted using swashplated equipment. fluid moments acting on rotor surface measured by six-component balancing system. By changing blades, attempts made manage generated surface. Under varied uniform velocities 7, 8, 9, 10 m/s, effect control power coefficient thrust FOWT then discussed. Furthermore, at speed both loads investigated yaw change. Experimental results indicate combined moment magnitude can controlled pitch-angle amplitude. controller when phase changes. addition, fluctuated changed oblique inflow condition.
